Nicole decided that we would go down to the Columbia Mall to go and watch the 4th of July fireworks. We decided to walk down to the columbia lake and to pick up sushi for dinner from sushi sono. By the time we got to the lake it was pretty crowded and the best spot we could get was on a steep portion of a hill. It wasn’t too bad for us since we were young. We ended up with this Indian family on our left who were kinda obnoxious. Not only did they get there barely before the fireworks started they squeezed into a space that wasn’t really a space and were half on our towels.
However once the fireworks started we forgot all about them and were really wowed by the fireworks. I haven’t been that up close to where they fire the fireworks in a long time. There were a lot of lower ones that we haven’t been able to see from our apartment for the past few years. We had a really good time and were glad we went down to see them and if we are still here next year we’d probably do it again.
