When I got my new laptop (a PC) in September it came with the new Microsoft Office suite. I begrudgingly learned how to use the new menus on the program, but found that I much preferred the old lay out to the new one. I have even told people in lab how much easier I think it is to use — especially powerpoint– and recently I’ve been making a lot of powerpoint presentations.
So, when we were the new office suite for the Mac in the lab, I was excited because that meant they would have the same menus as the new PC version. I was WRONG. Stupid Microsoft made the Office suite for Macs very different than the Office suite for PCs. Do they not care about the people who switch between PCs and Macs? I am now boycotting the Office Suite on my mac…and will only use my PC. I don’t want to waste the time and energy learning a whole new set of menus. Why couldn’t they just make them compatible?
